Ingredients:
1 Big Bowl Plain Cornflakes
Oil for tempering
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp asafetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt and sugar as per taste
1 spoon red chili powder
Curry leaves 5 to 7
Roasted peanuts 1/2 cups
1/2 cup roasted daria (gram / chana)
1/2 cup roasted daria (gram / chana) powder
Cumin powder
Recipe:
1. In a large pot, heat oil for tempering .
2. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Fry it in hot oil for 1/2 minute as all the is locked inside seed and curry leaves. let the release nice aroma to get better smell to Cornflakes Chivda
3. Add 2 tbsp garlic paste, asafetida , and roast it for 1/2 minutes.
4. Add roasted peanuts, 1/2 cup roasted Daria , ad mix it well.
5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and stir. Make sure that you have turned gas to low flame while adding turmeric powder and red chili powder as it can burn quickly.
6. Add plain cornflakes to this pot and mix it well.
7. Add sugar to taste.
8. Make a powder of 1/2 cup roasted daria( roasted gram/ chana )a in blender. Mix it in the cornflakes chivda.
OR
Add 1 tsp Methkut (Mix lentil Maharashtrian powder)
This powder gives unique taste to chivda.
If you don't have roasted chana , you can use roasted gram flour .
9. Mix it well.
