INGREDIENTS :
1 cup rice flour
1 cup water
2 spoons homemade pure ghee
Pinch of salt
Pinch of sugar
For modak stuffing :
1 cup grated fresh coconut
1/2 cup grated jaggery
2 spoons ghee
METHOD :
HOW TO MAKE MODAK STUFFING ?
1. I cooking pan , melt 2 spoons ghee.
2. Add 1 cup grated fresh coconut and 1/2 cup grated jaggery.
3. Mix properly till jaggery melts and mixes with grated coconut.
4. You can add pinch of cardamom powder. It's optional.
5. Let this mixture cools down completely.
6. You can adjust quantity of jaggery , depending on it's sweetness.
HOW TO MAKE MODAK ?
1. Boil 1 cup water in a cooking pot .
2. Add 1 spoon homemade ghee in it .
3. Let it melt.
4. Add 1 cup rice flour.
5. Mix it properly
6. Cover it with lid. Turn off your stove flame.
7. Keep it covered for 10 minutes.
8. After 10 minutes take this mixture into pan / pot with flat surface bowl.
9. Knee it to dough. Apply warm water if required
10. Dough should become soft.
11. Take small portion of dough. Make it round.
12. Using figures make it's sheet as shown below.
It should be little bit deep in middle.
13. Using your index finger and middle finger , fold it as shown below.
It should take bowl like shape.
This needs some patience and expertise.

14. Fill coconut stuffing inside it.
15. Fold it from up delicately.
16. Your modak are ready to steam.
17. You can sprinkle some saffron over it.
18. Steam it in steamer for approx minutes.
19. Your rice flour modak are ready.
21. Serve them hot.
