Let's make sankranti special healthy Jaggery recipe
SWEET PONGAL 

It's really easy to make. Homemade pure ghee adds awesome flavour to turn it delicious.



Ingredients

1 cup rice

1/2 cup yellow moong Daal

1 cup jaggery

2 tsp ghee

Handful of cashew and almonds 


Preparation

1. Wash rice and moong Daal together.

2. Add 2 cups water in it.

3. Cook in pressure cooker with 4 whistles ( 10 minutes cooking time)

4. In a cooking pan heat 2 tsp ghee 

5. Roast cashew and almonds till turns golden brown ( you can add dry fruits of your choice )

6. Remove them in a plate.

7. In same ghee add Jaggery.

8. Let it melt . Add 1/2 cup water.

9. Mix well and boil for 2 minutes. Jaggery syrup will be ready in 2 minutes.

10. Add cooked rice and moong Daal

11. Mix well.

12. Add roasted dry fruits.

13. Let it cook for 2 more minutes on medium flame.

14. Serve hot.
