For 15 medium size besan ladoo
Ingredients :
1 big size cup gram flour ( besan)
1/4 cup homemade ghee
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
Method:
1. Take a big pan/ cooking pot .
2. Make it hot on high flame .
3. Add homemade ghee in it. Let it melt completely.
4. Keep your gas flame low.
5. Add gram flour.Mix it well.
6. Start roasting gram flour with ghee
Firstly it becomes dry .
Keep stirring constantly. About in 1 minute it be ones sticky, moist and oily.
7. Roast it till besan starts giving it's nice aroma.
8. When gram flour starts changing its colour, make your stove flame off. Remove your cooking pot from stove.
If you keep on heated stove for few more seconds, it over roasts and colour changes from yellow to brownish.
Be careful while roasting. Never over roasts besan ladoo flour.
9. Let this mixture cools down completely.
It approximately takes 45 minutes .
After 45 minutes if mixture is still sticky and wet, keep in under cool air for some more time or add roasted gram flour again.
10. Mix this mixture with hands . Try to remove all flour lumps. It should look like below picture.
11. Add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.
12. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Remove all sugar lumps.
13. Mix it well with hands .
14 . Roll medium sized ladoo/ laddu.
You can use dry fruits for decoration if you want .
15. Keep it in air tight container for longer use.
