INGREDIENTS :
4-5 fresh big tomatoes
1 carrot
1 potato / 2 spoon rice flour
1 onion
4 garlic cloves
Small cinnamon stick
Salt to taste
2 spoons sugar
1 tsp red chilly powder
Cream to decor
For better soup colour, you can use small piece of beetroot. It gives nice red colour to your tomato soup.
METHOD :
If you want to make thick tomato soup, you must use a potato or rice flour.
If you are using rice flour , add some water in it to make a fine paste. Add to soup while it's cooking.
1. In a pressure cooker , cook tomatoes, potato, onion , garlic cloves, cinnamon and carrot together.
2. Cook it till cooker's 3 whistles.
3. Let it cool down.
4. Take it out of cooker.
5. Peel tomatoes and potato.
6. In a mixer, make a fine paste of it together.
7. Add warm water as required.
8. Pour it in a cooking pot.
9. Let it boil for some time .
10. Add red chilly powder, salt and sugar.
11. If you are using rice flour, add rice flour paste.mixed in water now.
12. Mix it well. Let it cook for 2 more minutes on medium flame.
13. Thick, delicious tomato soup is ready to serve.
14. Decor with a cream and toast.
