Masala Pav is Mumbai's famous street food which tastes spicy and delicious !
Sharing here recipe of Masala Pav with step by step photos.
Ingredients :
1 big size chopped tomato
1 big size chopped capsicum ( prefer green colour)
Butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp sugar
Readymade Pav bhaji masala 1 spoon
Red chili powder 1 spoon
4 Pav bhaji buns
Method :
How to make stuffing of masala pav ?
1. In a pan heat butter for tempering. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds . Let them pop up.
2. Add chopped onions. Saute well till becomes golden brown.
3. Add chopped tomatoes. Saute well till it becomes soft and it's sour smell goes away.
4. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute till it fragrant.
5. Add turmeric powder, salt and sugar.
6. Add chopped capsicum. Saute well. Cover it with lid. Let it cook on vapours.
Cook well till capsicum becomes soft.
7. Add Pav Bhai masala and red chili powder. Saute well. Mash it slightly with Pav bhaji masher.
8. Add 1/2 tsp lemon juice.
9. Take it out in a bowl. Keep aside.
How to roast masala pav buns ?
1. Use same pan of stuffing to roast buns . Masala content remained behind in a pan gives nice flavour to buns.
2. Separate each piece of bun . Cut it horizontal to divide into two equal parts .
3. Apply butter of both divided sides. Roast it on heated pan till it's cover becomes crispy.
4. Fill stuffing in between two seperated parts . Keep them on one another. Roast it for 1/2 minute more.
5. Garnish with chopped onion , fresh coriander leaves
You can use shev as I shown in above image.
6. Serve this tempting dish immediately and hot.
