BEETROOT PARATHA

Healthy BEETROOT PARATHA is good option for kids lunch box . You can serve it as breakfast too or it can be served with any time meal . 

Serve it with curd, pickle or any type of chutney.

Ingredients :

1 fresh beetroot 
2 cups wheat flour
1 spoon gram flour
2 spoons rice flour
1 tsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp cumin powder
1 spoon curd
2 spoons oil
1/2 tsp red chilly powder

METHOD : 



1. Cut fresh beetroot in small pieces. If you want you can peel it before. I never peel any vegetable.
2. Boil it in water till it becomes soft. You can boil / cook it in pressure cooker too.
3. Once it cools down, put it in grinder and make a fine paste . You water as required.

Beetroot Paratha dough :

1. In a mixing bowl take 2 cups wheat flour.
2. Add 1 spoon gram flour and 2 spoons rice flour.
3. Mix these dry flours together.
4. Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, cumin powder,curd and garlic paste.
5. Mix well.
6. Add 1/3 bowl beetroot paste that you just made in grinder.
7. Mix well . Make a soft dough of it .Add water only if required . Mostly you don't need water as beetroot paste becomes little bit watery.
8. Apply oil over dough.
9. Keep this dough aside for 30 minutes

Making Paratha 

1. Take a small portion of dough.
2. Roll it with rolling pin to make round shape 
3. On heated pan roast this paratha from both sides.
4. Apply ghee on it.
5. Your beetroot paratha is ready to serve.
6. Serve it with curd, pickle or any type of chutney.
