MINT PARATHA



Mint is an easiest herb you can grow in your balcony. I started growing mint in my balcony two years ago . After that I never bought it from market .
Trust me , your balcony herbs are more delicious and fragrant than market products . In addition to fragrance and freshness these are pesticides free. 


I suggest, you make a habit of growing easy herbs and vegetables in your balcony garden . They provides you best organic vegetables and makes your balcony beautiful . 

When you will buy mint next time, use fresh leaves and preserve mint stem which have little roots growing along .

Just push mint root side  stem inside soil from your garden , water it daily and wait.
I was so happy to see tiny mint leaves started showing there beautiful appearance.

They joy of creation is incomparable .  Growing plant teach you to wait , patience and trust that ond day it will come out with green leaves.

Just pluck fresh leaves or cut stem when you want to make any mint dish .  The plant will continue to grow  as previous.

Let's make few quick dishes of these balcony herb, mint .

You can use mint in paratha or can make delicious mint rice . 

Mint chutney is one of the tasty thing you can make of it .

For Mint Paratha 

Ingredients :

15-20 fresh mint leaves
1 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup thick curd
1 tsp red chilly powder, turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder, Jeera powder 
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp oil
Salt as per taste
1/2 tsp sugar
Sesame seeds (optional)

Method

1. Wash and chop mint leaves .
2. Add all ingredients listed above .
Adjust spices as per your taste .
3. Use water as required to make its soft dough 
4. Keep it aside for 15 minutes covered with wet cloth.

5. Take a small portion of dough.
6 . Make its ball. Apply oil on its surface.
7. Using rolling pin roll it as you roll regular roti.
8. Roast it on both sides on heated pan .
9. Apply homemade ghee on it. Homemade ghee makes paratha softer and smells nice.


10 . Serve hot parathas with curd , any type of raita or pickle.
