MISSI ROTI - PANJABI FLAT BREAD

MISSI ROTI is Panjabi speciality.

It is north North Indian flat bread mad with gram flour.

Many people roast it in tandoor or oven .

Here I am Shani g easy recipe of Missi Roti on normal stove.


INGREDIENTS :

1 cup wheat flour
1/2 gram flour ( chana daal flour )
1 spoon rice flour
1 onion finely chopped
Chopped coriander
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp carom seeds ( Ajawain )
1/4 tsp cumin seeds ( Jeera )
Salt to taste
Homemade ghee
2 spoons oil
Water as required

METHOD :

1. Take wheat flour, gram flour, rice flour , red chilly powder, garam masala, salt, turmeric powder, Jeera, Ajawain, onion and coriander together.




2. Add water as required. Make a soft dough of it.

3. Apply some oil in it. Keep it rest for 30 minutes.

4. Take a small portion of dough. Make a ball of it .

5. Roll it on traditional roti maker with rolling pin.

6. Roast it on heated pan from both sides.

7. Apply some oil while roasting.

8. Once roasted nicely, shift it in a plate.

9. Apply homemade ghee over it .

10. Your Panjabi Missi Roti is ready to serve.

11. Serve it hot with curd or any gravy sabzi.
