Champakali

Champakali is sweet made up of all purpose flour. Easy to make n less time consuming dish .


Ingredients:

100 grm all purpose flour (maida)
15 gram butter / any vegetable fat
1/2 tsp salt
Powder sugar
Oil for frying

Recipe:

1. Mix all purpose flour and salt together.
2. Add melted / room temperature butter to it.
3. Mix with hands . Make sure there is no any dry lump of flour in it.
4. Using warm water, make a dough of it . Dough for namakin should not be soft as roti dough. It should be little hard. You can add eatablew colour if you want.
5. Keep this dough covered with wet cloth for at least 30 minutes .
6. To make champakli, take a small portion of dough little smaller than roti dough size .
7. Roll it with roller.
8. While rolling don't apply excess dry flour to it . As we are going to stick rolled dough we need it sticky .
9. Cut a rolled dough at each  half centemeter distance as shown . Don't cut till edges.

10. Start it rolling from left side to right . Stick last borders to each other .
10. If your dough is become dry and not stikings to each other , apply milk on it n then stick.

11. Fry it in heated oil with low flame till it become golden drown.
12. Remove it from frying pan and keep on tissue
 It will soak excess oil .
13. Spread powder sugar on fried champakali before it cools down .
14. Store it in air tight container after cooling.


Note :
To make this dish spicy, add spices in a dough instead of spreading powder sugar on it.
