Crispy Chirote

Chirote is Indian sweet snacks. It looks beautiful with different colours. 


Ingredients :

1 cup all purpose flour
2 spoons unroasted semolina
Pinch of salt
1 spoon very hot oil
1/4 cup milk
Eatable colour
Powder sugar
Oil for frying
3 spoons ghee/ butter
3 spoons rice flour

How to make satha / paste

We nned this satha / paste to apply in between two layers of rolled chapatis.

1. Take 3 spoons ghee / butter
2. Whisk it properly.
3. Add 3 spoons rice flour .
4 Mix it well
You can use corn flour instead of rice flour.

Recipe:
1. In a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour and semolina.
2. Add pinch of salt.
3. Pour 1 spoon very hot oil. Don't use more than it.
4. Mix it with hands to remove flour lumps.
5. Knee soft dough using milk.
6. Take 1/3 portion of dough andd eatable colour in it.

 7. Make lemon size small rolls of dough.
For rolling we need 2 uncoloured and one coloured dough.

 8. With rolling pin, roll uncolored dough to thin circle.
9. Apply satha/ paste on it.


10. Roll coloured dough into thin circle. Put it on uncolored rolled circle.
11. Apply satha/ paste on it .


12. On top of it ,place rolled uncolored thin layer of circle.
13. Apply satha / paste on it
14. Gentaly press all these layers.

15. Make a roll of it . Make sure you are rolling g it tight.


16. Cut it into 1 cm small pieces.


17. Take one small piece. Roll it with pin roll so that it will take shape like below.
18. Repeat same for all.


19. Fry it in hot oil on medium flame.
20. After frying, keep on paper towel to remove excess oil.
21. Sprinkle powder sugar on it when it's hot.
If you spread powder sugar after Colling chirote, it will not stick to it.

22. Store in in air tight container for longer use.
