1 cup all purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 spoons very hot oil
1 tsp Whole jeera
1 tsp Carom seeds
Oil for frying
Recipe :
1. In a mixing bowl, add all dry ingredients.
2. Add 2 spoons very hot oil. Mix it with hand so that no flour lumps forms.
3. Knee dough with warm water.
4. Keep this covered with wet cloth for 1/2 n hour .
5. Take a small portion of dough.
6. Roll it like roti using rolling pin. Thickness should be medium.
7. Cut it in diamond shape.
8. Make an oil hot in frying pan.
9. Separate all diamond shaped shankarpale .
10 . Fry it on low flame till it turns golden brown.
11. After cooling , store it in air tight container for longer use .
