Ingredients :
1 cup basmati / any biryani rice
1.5 cups warm water
Oil for tampering
1 onion chopped
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 carrot chopped
3-4 mint leaves
10 -15 fresh spinach leaves chopped
Salt as per taste
1 tsp garam masala
Fried onion 2 big spoons
Homemade ghee 1 big spoon
Method :
1. Wash rich with normal temp water .
2. Remove excess water and soak it for 1/2 n hour
3. Chop onion and carrot into long think slices.
4. Chop spinach into small fine pieces
5. Heat oil for tampering
6. Add chopped onion and saute well.till it become transparant.
7. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well
8. Add chopped carrot and spinach and sauthe on low flame till spinach become soft
9. Add fried oinion. It gives awesome taste to.uour pulao. Saute for a minute .
10. Add already soaked rice into it. Roast it along with already added ingredients till.you feel rice lighter it weight than before.
Roasting a rice before adding water is one of important thing to get it's nonsticky texture .
11. Add salt as per taste and 1 tsp garam masala. Mix well.
12. Add 1 1/2 times warm water of rice .
Let it boil on high flame for 1 minute.
After that make flame medium. Cover it with lit and let it cool nicely.
13. Carrot spinach rice is ready to serve . Serve it with any type of raita.
