TAMARIND - DATES CHUTNEY

Tangy sweet taste of tamrind dates chutney adds extra taste to your dish 
You can use it in street food chaat like bhel poori, ragda poori, bhel, samosa etc.

Easy and fast tamrind dates chutney recipe!


Ingredients:

1 cup dried tamrind
8 to 10 dates
1/2 cup grated jaggery
Salt to taste
1 tsp
Cumin powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

Method :

1. Soak tamrind, dates and jaggery in water in  3 different pots for 5 hours.
2. Squeeze tamrind to take its pulp out.
3. Grind dates already soaked in water . Make its fine paste.
4. Mix jaggery with water we kept to soak it in .
5. Keep thick base pot on low flame stove top.
6. Add tamrind pulp, dates paste and jaggery together in it.
7. Add salt to taste, cumin powder, red chilly powder and turmeric powder.
8. Let it boil for about 4-5 minutes.
9. Chutney becomes.thick because of dates paste.
10..Add water to adjust consistency .
11. Tamrind dates chutney is ready to use.
12. You can use it in bhel, dabeli, chaat and other street food snacks.
