DADAPE POHE / THIN RICE FLAKES

Easy and fast marathi breakfast dish !
The name dadape pohe comes from style it is made 

In Marathi dapade is keep something pressed . 
Here after tampering we keep these thin rice flakes mixed with other ingredients pressed for some time .


Ingredients :
2 cups thin rice flakes
Oil for tempering
1 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
4-5 curry leaves
1/4 cup roasted peanuts
Salt and sugar as per taste
3 green chillies
Chopped coriander
1 big onion chopped
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
Fresh coconut water
4 tsp fresh lemon juice

Method  :

1. Heat oil for tempering
2. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
3. Add chopped green chilli and curry leaves.
4. Add roasted peanuts.
5. Add turmeric powder and saute well.
6. Make your gas flame off
7. Let this tampering cools down completely.
8. Add 2 cups thin rice flakes. We are adding here uncooked rice flakes. We even did not washed them with water.
9. Add finely chopped onion, coriander, grated fresh coconut. Add lemon juice.
10. Add Sault and sugar as per taste.
11. Mix well.
12.sprinkle 1/4 cup fresh coconut water and press this mixture.
13.Cover with tight plate and keep its pressed for 10 minutes.
14. Dadape pohe ready to serve.
15. Mix one more time and serve with tea.


Note : Don't use thick rice flakes for this recipe.
