HOW TO MAKE GHEE AT HOME - CLARIFIED BUTTER RECIPE

Sharing how to make ghee at home with step by step photos and video !


Making ghee is simple and you can do it with minimum ingredients from your kitchen .

For me , homemade ghee is heaven. You can not compare taste and texture of homemade ghee with readymade one. 



Ghee is my favorite flavorful, delicious fat to cook with ! I am in love with it since my childhood. 
I used to ask Ghee - Roti daily in school lunch box daily. 😋

INGREDIENTS :

Best possible ingredient for making ghee is unsalted ready made butter or homemade butter.



METHOD :

1. Take a butter in a cooking pot.

2. Start to cook it on low flame.

3. Simmer it in between. It starts melting.

After few minutes, foam will form on a top.


4. Continue to boil it on low flame till it becomes transparent.

After approximately 10-15 minutes you will see it's bubbling.
It changes its colour to dark yellow.
Stir it in between.


5. Continue cooking a butter for another 20 minutes till it's smells fragrant.
One it is down, it starts looking like transparent oil.

You can see some solid drops settled down at bottom.


6.  Let it cools down completely. This cooling takes more than 2 hours.

7. To remove solid particles at bottom use steel strainer.
Pour it slowly through strainer.


8. Homemade ghee is ready .

You can use it for longer time.
Keep it in fridge preserving it longer .
