JOWAR POORI - SORGHUM FLOUR POORI


INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cup jowar flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp carom seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cumin powder and coriander powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

METHOD :

1. Add all ingredients except oil listed above together.

2. Use warm water to make a soft dough.
Keep it aside for 10 minutes.


3. Take a small portion of a dough. Make a ball and press it with fingers on plastic sheet.
Make a thin poori .

Before pressing poori on plastic sheet , apply some oil to your fingers and plastic sheet too.


4. Heat oil for frying pooris.

5. Make sure oil is very hot.

6. Fry poori in oil from both sides till it turns golden brown.

7. Place them on kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.


8. Delicious jowar flour poori is ready to serve.


9. Serve it hot with raita or koshimbir.
