USAL PAV

I would like to share wheat flour ladi pav recipe without yeast and with step by step photos !

INGREDIENTS :

1 cup white peas
1 onion
1 tomato
2 garlic cloves
Small piece of ginger
2 spoons Sesame seeds
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
Oil for tempering
Pinch of sugar

METHOD : 

GRAVY : 
1. Add 1/2 chopped onion and tomato together.
2. Add garlic , ginger and sesame seeds in it
3. Mix all together and make a fine paste of it.

HOW TO MAKE USAL ? 

1.  Soak white peas in water for 8 hours.

2. Cook them in pressure cooker with only 1 whistle . Avoid over cooking .

3. In a cooking pan, heat oil for tempering.

4. Add 1/2 onion finely chopped and cumin seeds.

5. Add turmeric powder and roast it.

6. Add 3-4 big spoons gravy that we just made.

7. Saute well till it starts separating oil.

8. Add red chilli powder, garam masala, salt and sugar.


9. Saute well to roast.

10. Add pressure cooker cooked white peas.

11. Avoid adding extra water. We want usal little bit thick.


12. Let it cook in low flame for 5 minutes

13. USAL is ready to serve.


14. Serve it with ladi pav and chopped onion
