8-10 fresh spinach leaves
1 bowl yellow lentils (Tur dal)
8-10 peanuts
1 glass water
PREPARATION
1. Wash yellow lentils and spinach leaves.
2. Mix lentils , spinach leaves, peanuts together.
3. Add 1 glass water.
4. Cook it together in pressure cooker for 10 minutes.
INGREDIENTS FOR TEMPERING
2 tsp oil
1 chopped garlic
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asefotida
1 dried red chili
Cooked lentils and spinach together
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp grated peanuts powder
1/2 tsp Ghee
PREPARATION OF DAL PALAK
1. Heat oil for tempering.
2. Add chopped garlic, cumin seeds, dried chili and asefotida.
3. Let it pop.
4. Add pressure cooker cooked yellow lentils along with spinach leaves.
5. Mix well.
6. Add turmeric powder, salt to taste, peanuts powder and red chili powder.
7. Mix well . Add warm water to adjust consistency.
8. Let it cook on medium flame foe 2-3 minutes.
9. Add 1 tsp Ghee . It gives nice aroma and improves taste .
10. Dal Palak is ready to serve.
11. Serve it hot with steamed rice .
