KERALA STYLE CHICKEN CURRY WITH COCONUT MILK | NADAN KOZHI CHICKEN CURRY

Kerala style chicken curry is tempered with fresh curry leaves and cooked  in coconut milk.

Serve this delicious chicken curry with JEERA RICE or ROTI.
  



HOW TO MARINATE CHICKEN ?

Ingredients : 

½ KG CHICKEN
2 SPOONS YOGURT
2 TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE
SALT TO TASTE

Mix all INGREDIENS and marinate it for 2 hours

FOR GRAVY


1 TOMATO
GARLIC CLOVES
GREEN CHILIES
DRY COCONUT
1 BAY LEAF
1 BLACK CARDAMOM
2 CLOVES
1-PIECE CINNAMON
Grind it to fine paste

HOW TO MAKE KERALA STYLE CHICKEN WITH COCONUT MILK ? 



INGREDIENTS 

Oil for tempering
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 chopped onion
¼ tsp turmeric powder
Curry leaves
1 tsp garam masala
½ tsp fennel powder
1 ½ tsp red chili powder
SALT TO TASTE
½ cup warm water
1 cup coconut milk

RECIPE 

1. Heat oil for tempering.
2. Add cumin seeds and chopped onion,
3. Saute it well.
4. Add gravy that we just made. Saute well.
4. Add curry leaves, fennel powder, garam masala, red chili powder and salt to taste.
5. Add marinated chicken and 1/2 cup warm water.
6. Mix well.
7. Cover it with lid. Let it cook on medium flame for 5 minutes. 
8. Add 1 cup coconut milk. Mix well
Let chicken cook with coconut milk for 5 more minutes.
9. Adjust thickness of gravy as per yor choice .
10. Kerala style chicken it ready to serve , 
11. Serve it with Jeera rich or Indian flat bread ROTI.
