Soft Idli with coconut chutney | Idli with Idli Rawa



 For 50 idlis


INGREDIENTS

2 cups Idli Rawa ( rice Rawa) 

3/4 cup white urad Dal (without cover) 

Salt to taste 


PREPARATION

1. Soak Idli Rawa and urad Dal in water  in separate pots for 8 hours.

2. Remove extra water from Rawa and urad dal. 

3. Mix together. 

4. Grind it to fine paste. 

5. Keep this batter for 8 hours / overnight.

6. Once fermented, it grows in size.

7. Add salt to taste.

8. Mix it well. 

9. Don't add extra water. We don't want watery batter. 

10. Pour it in Idli maker. 

11. Steam it for 5 minutes.

12. Super soft Idli from Idli rawa are ready .

COCONUT CHUTNEY WITH DRY COCONUT


INGREDIENTS : 

Dry coconut half / fresh coconut

2 spoons peanuts , 2 spoons roasted chana daal

3 garlic cloves

2 green chillies

Handful of coriander

Salt and sugar to taste

2 spoons oil for tempering

1 tsp cumin seeds


PREPARATION

1. Soak dry coconut in warm water for 4-5 hours. If you are using fresh coconut, no need to soak in water

2. Grate it .

3. Add grated coconut, peanuts, garlic , green chillies, coriander, sugar, salt together.

4. Grind it to fine paste. Add water as required.

5. Heat 2 spoons oil for tempering.

6. Add cumin seeds.

7. Mix this tempering in grinded paste. 

8. Delicious coconut chutney is ready 

9. Serve it with Idli
