KANDE POHE - POHA - कांदे पोहे

Kande Pohe is popular Maharashtrian breakfast menu . 

Here I am sharing medium size POHA - KANDE POHE recipe .


INGREDIENTS 

1 big bowl medium thick poha ( Rice flakes)
1 glass water to rinse poha
5-6 tsp oil for tempering
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 big size chopped onion
2 green chilies
3-4 curry leaves
8-10 peanuts
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 tsp sugar
chopped coriander 
For garnishing : Shev and grated fresh coconut

METHOD :




1.  1 big bowl medium thick poha ( Rice flakes)

 If you use thin Poha , it becomes sticky . Use thin Poha is only to make DADAPE POHE
 If you use thick poha, it becomes harder after tempering .
 Choose Poha size correctly.   

2. Rinse it with water . Remove excess water from it . 

3. After 2 minutes add salt to taste and 1 tsp sugar in it . Mix well.

4. Heat  5-6 tsp oil for tempering.

5. Add 1 tsp mustard seeds. Let them pop. 

6. Add chopped onion , chopped green chilis and curry leaves.

7. Sauté well till onion cooks well. It becomes soft.

8. Add peanuts . Sauté well.

9. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder. Sauté well .

10. Add rinsed Poha in it . Mix well .
 
11. Add handful of chopped coriander . Mix well.

12. Cover it with lid. Allow it to cook for 2 minutes.

13.  Delicious Kande Pohe ready to serve.

14. Garnish with small size Shev and grated fresh coconut. 

15. Squeeze 2-3 drops fresh lemon over it .

16. Serve it hot.
